Glenn Howell
Senior Pastor
Pastor Glenn and his lovely wife, Renee, joined us here at Oak Grove Baptist Church in July 2023. Pastor Glenn was saved later in life then called into the ministry two years later. He immediately started his education at Liberty University after the call to serve. Pastor Glenn has earned an AA in Religion, BS in Christian Leadership minoring in Christian Counseling, and MA in Christian Ministries, all from Liberty University. He also completed the Tar Heel Leadership Center for Pastoral Ministry Program in November 2022, focusing on the practical applications to church ministry (A joint endeavor of the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina, ShareLife Ministries, and Center Grove Church of Clemmons, NC).
Pastor Glenn is passionate about making sure the lost are reached and the church is loved. He also serves as a board member, currently as chair, on the leadership team of L.I.F.E. Ministries, an addiction recovery ministry that was founded in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Currently, L.I.F.E. chapters have meetings in several counties in North Carolina and one in South Carolina. The hope is for L.I.F.E. chapters to be in all 100 counties of NC. L.I.F.E. curriculum is now been added to over 3 million tablets in the prison systems across the nation.
